Hello. Im a student form Sweden, and the reason why i joined this site was because i would like to know more about the university system in Germany. I will hopefully move to Germany next year to study, live and work there . Does anyone of you study at TUM? Technische universität in München? If not, do you know any other good technical universities in Germany?

ps: sorry for writing in english, i can speak a bit german but im not that good in writing german.

I studied Chemical Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (formerly known as Technische Universität Karlsruhe) during the 1990´ies.

First thing you have tho know is, that most of the lessons, books, forms and readings are only done, available or held in german respectively. So, first thing you´ll have to do is improve your german to a B2- level at least. All the rest is Maths.

Foreigners and women are preferred at the distribution of places in the halls, so cheap living shouldn´t be the issue if you contact the student union in time. (very important if you go to Munich; regular hire charges are the highest in Germany)
